THE WOMAN BEHIND THE WEARABLE ART
Metalhead jewelry emerged from the universal pause of quarantine, when artist-looking-for-her-art-form, Nora Goldie, lost her job due to the pandemic. Nora had lightly dabbled in metalsmithing since a summer workshop before high school in 2008, but it wasn’t until September 2020 that she bought her very first tools. Jeweler's saw in hand, she swiftly realized that this was what she wanted to do every day for the rest of her life--and Metalhead jewelry was born!
Nora hand-fabricates all of her wearable art in her new little basement studio with a lot of heart and hard labor. Every piece of one-of-a-kind jewelry takes days to complete and is dreamt up, designed, created, photographed, and marketed by Nora herself.
