Asymmetrical Cavansite Druzy Twisting Cuff
Another crazy Metalhead contraption! I wanted to create a double cuff with asymmetrical, opposing half-bands. The only problem? You can't actually put a cuff with asymmetrical, opposing bands on because the openings are on opposite sides. So I thought, why not make one of the bands twist into place?! Four days of tinkering later, the Cavansite Twisting Cuff was born.
This double cuff features two double bands of 12 gauge silver wire and criss-cross textured square wire, capped with perpendicular square wire at all ends. Sandwiched between the double bands is a SUPER cool sparkly cavansite druzy, claw set with a bezel wall. The top bands sit secure, soldered to the bezel loops, while the bottom bands rotate through two catches protruding from the stone setting.
To put the bracelet on, you just twist the bottom bands so the opening is in line with the opening of the top bands, slide the cuff on, secure/tighten the top bands, rotate the bottom bands until they sit opposite the top bands, and secure those into place. To remove, open bottom band back up, twist, loosen top band, slide off (see videos). It is a bit too large on me so I have to do more adjusting than you will have to if you fit into the measurements I have listed below!
MEASUREMENTS
FIT: the cuff fits best on wrist sizes 6.25-7.5 inches and forearm sizes 6.75-8 inches (see MEASUREMENTS below)
HOW TO TAKE YOUR MEASUREMENTS:
Wrist: Wrap a measuring tape or strip of paper snugly above OR below the wrist bone (wherever you want the top cuff to lie). That measurement should be between 6.25-7.5 inches.
Forearm: Measure about 2 inches below that first measurement. This measurement should be between 6.75-8 inches.
