Heart of Silver / Australian Parti Sapphire "Day" Necklace

This necklace features a gorgeous one-of-a-kind 2.5 carat faceted Australian Parti Sapphire called “day”—a the twin of the “Night” Australian sapphire from a previous necklace, collected on the land of Gembug Australia Sapphires and hand-cut by owner Alana. This was by FAR the hardest setting I’ve ever executed for the most expensive stone I've ever worked with, and I agonized over it for about 6 months before creating the piece you see today! It took so much work but I hope that you love the result.
 
"Day" sits in a an inset prong setting on a brushed silver, angular base that makes up one portion of an abstract heart. Columns of beaded wire connect it to a bottom layer of textured, patinated sterling silver that completes the multi-layer angular heart shape. Between the layers is a border of rectangular wire, completing the rest of the pendant form. Layers of criss-crossing beaded wire stitching extend from the heart segments top triangle of the rectangular wire border. The pendant is finished with a simple circular square wire bale and selective patina. Finished with a handmade small link beaded wire chain with angular hook clasp, this necklace is a one-of-a-kind work of wearable fine art!
