Latent Decay / Sterling Silver & Labradorite Drop Stud Earrings

When I dreampt up these earrings and their tricky hinge mechanism, I wasn't sure I would be able to pull off my vision; I'm so happy that I did! Lacey, textured, tatterd domes of sterling silver with gradiented patina are bordered by square wire. Beneath the domes are hexagons of flashy deep blue labradorites in notched bezel settings, attached at the top to a strip of 14 gauge square wire that elads up to the earring post. The dome attacheds to square wire with a tricky hidden clasp. Finished with handmade hexagonal ear nuts (jeweler looking for a template? check out my new "templates" tab!), these earrings are sultry, bold, badass, but so elegant!
