Undercover Pearl / Cast & Hand-Fab Pendant + Chain / Pearl & Sterling Silver

Another wild hand-cast hand-fabricated hybrid and happy waxident! Once again, this piece did not come out of casting fully-formed and the final rectangle came up short. I could have just removed the final rectangle but I once I realized I had a rectangular pearl, I just could resist finding a way to sneak it in there.
 
Layered rectangles--a top layer of jagged silver tears open to reveal a bottom layer of conjoined silver wires--are stacked offset in increasing thickness, leading down to prong/jagged edge set square pearl that melts into the final rectangle. Finished with a coiled bail, hook clasp, and oval rolo chain (length of your choosing), this necklace is chunky but small, edgy but elegant, and completely one-of-a-kind!
